Its thermal coal is primarily used in electricity generation, and its end users are typically power and utility companies. Moolarben Coal Complex is located over 40 kilometers north of Mudgee in the Western Coalfields of New South Wales. Mount Thorley Warkworth is an integrated operation consisting of the open cut coal mining operations of Mount Thorley Operations and Warkworth Mine.
