Musaffa Brand Guidelines

Musaffa feels a deep responsibility to serve its community, including users, business customers, partners, vendors and others who use or encounter our platform and services. Part of serving our community includes protecting our trademarks and brand. We don’t want our community or anyone else to be confused about whether something is endorsed, controlled, managed, or authorized by us. These Musaffa Brand Guidelines (the “Guidelines”) are designed to protect our brand and to help you responsibly share about and promote Musaffa.

These Guidelines are part of our Terms of Use. Your use of Musaffa Trademarks and other our brand assets indicates your acceptance of these Guidelines. You also understand that your use of Musaffa Trademarks and other our brand assets in violation of these Guidelines will result in automatic termination of your license and permission to use Musaffa Trademarks and our brand assets

Trademark Usage Rules

“Musaffa Trademarks” means the trademarks, logos, designs, images, slogans, service marks, trade and company names of Musaffa, its parent’s and subsidiaries’ whether registered or unregistered, including but not limited to the word “MUSAFFA”, domain names, including www.musaffa.com and the Primary Logo.

• You may not use Musaffa Trademarks unless you have formal written permission from the appropriate business or legal teams at Musaffa.
• Your use of our Musaffa Trademarks or other our brand assets must not mislead consumers as to our sponsorship of, affiliation with, or endorsement of your company or your products or services.
• Musaffa Trademarks and other our brand assets are our exclusive property. All goodwill that results from your use of Musaffa Trademarks or our brand assets will be solely to our benefit. You will not take any action that is at odds with our rights or ownership of Musaffa Trademarks or our brand assets. Where used on a web page, Musaffa Trademarks or our brand assets, as well as the mention of our name, should include embedded hyperlinks to our homepage: www.musaffa.com.
• Musaffa Trademarks and other our brand assets must be used in a respectful manner. Our brand assets must not be used in a way that harms us, our products or services, or in a manner which, in our opinion, lessens or otherwise damages our reputation or goodwill. In other words, do not associate our brand assets with any illicit or illegal activities or use them in a way that is deceptive or harmful.

• Do not alter Musaffa Trademarks. Trademarks should be used consistently and should not be altered. For example, do not:

  1. Abbreviate Musaffa Trademarks.
  2. Change the colors or typeface of Musaffa Trademarks or other our brand assets.
  3. Add words or design elements to Musaffa Trademarks or other our brand assets
  4. Translate Musaffa Trademarks into other languages.
  5. Combine Musaffa Trademarks with other trademarks, names, or symbols to create a composite mark
  6. Create merchandise, promotional items, or other materials using Musaffa Trademarks without prior approval.

Primary Logo

Our primary logo is an octagonal geometric star design, inspired by the octagram that is the Rub-al-Hizb (ربع الحزب) also known as the Islamic Star (the “Octagram”) and the word MUSAFFA (together the “Primary Logo”). The Octagram is composed of two overlapping layers of green diamonds and squares, which together form an eight-pointed star with a hollow center. The design showcases a harmonious blend of two shades of green: a lighter shade for the outer diamonds and a darker shade for the inner elements. Wherever possible, we aim to use the Primary Logo in full-color.

This is the main Musaffa logo. It should be used in this form whenever possible.

This version features a white wordmark for greater legibility on dark or busy backgrounds

Stacked Logo

When vertical space is preferred or when the layout requires a more compact version of the logo, use the stacked logo that fits into a narrow or square space.

Monotone logos

When our Primary Logo is not an option to use in full-color or if we request so, use the monotone logo that provides the most contrast.
Some conditions that make using our Primary Logo in full-color impossible include:

• When budgets require single-color printing.
• When accurate color representations aren't attainable.
• On busy or patterned backgrounds.
• On backgrounds without enough contrast.
• When Musaffa requests so.

The Octagram

There are a few circumstances where our logo mark, the Octagram, can represent the brand on its own without the wordmark.

• When logo mark legibility is compromised. If the size of the logo mark would make the wordmark illegible.
• When a full-color logo is nearby. For example, in a multi-panel ad featuring large full-color logo marks, the Octagram can be used alone as a secondary brand signifier.
• In a situation where the brand is already established. Within our product, our offices, or at a Musaffa event. Anywhere the Octagram will be instantly recognized as part of our brand.
• When space is extremely limited. For example, when the logo mark must live within a square or circle shape.

Minimum size

To maintain the visual integrity of our Primary Logo, don’t scale it below 236 pixels or 30 millimeters wide.
